Yamanhai Language by Vanja1995 Yamanhai Language by Vanja1995
Yuo Tueh is pronounced pretty much Yaw Tuway :)

More writing used in Altworld. Obviously Asian-inspired, mainly chinese (I actually did some research to make this :D ) Its used in the North-Eastern third of the continent, called Yamanhai, which is, like-wise, Asian-inspired, mainly the parts north of big mountains, but including the smaller mountains and eastern peninsulas. However, the archipelago and far east are more Nordic-inspired :D IT'll be easier to understand when the political map comes out.

The writing at the top is how Yamanhai-ese is written in Yamanhai-ese. On the left is what it originated from, just to show some examples of the diatric and other marks for plural and "and", etc. On the right is the current spelling.

I'm not gonna go any more in-depth into how it works than the info at the very top of the deviation. Thinking about Chinese characters gives me a headache XD, so its just a visual concept :D

Countries are still coming soon!

Quite impressive work! They feel very authentic/natural - like I'm seeing characters from a naturally evolved language.

Great concept and lovely execution! It's obvious that you did put the research into it, and it shows its inspiration while having clearly unique shapes. I like how you've developed it from the diacritics and markings into the present form. Have you thought about how the characters were and are written (as in medium)?

I'm looking forward to seeing more about this conworld and the conlangs. Yay for a mix of inspirations :D

thanks :D umm it would be written with a brush, the same as Earth's east asian languages (it is a conworld, but its just another planet in the same galaxy as ours)

Ah cool, that's how I would have supposed based on the mix of rounded and straight lines.

This is so beautiful!
and the air quite obviously is related to the chinese air, and I guess some other character which I don't know are as well,
It's really so so so beautiful!
and I love the fact that there are some distinct diacritic to be sure about which part of speech you're not getting, (Chinese is really aweful at that...)

(btw: the concept of man and woman indeed is rather visual XD)

do they usually write in various colours? Because i would think it would be very cumbersome...
